Spiral Fest Music Festival
Spiral Fest is a music festival aimed at the millennial demographic who lived through the emo/scene music era of the mid-to-late 2000s. A logo, event poster, VIP freebies, and tickets require design. Festival directors are looking for an identity package that will spark arena ticket sales through the power of nostalgia that makes concertgoers relive the good ol’ days of their angsty youth through music and design.

About Spiral Fest Music Festival
The word spiral suggests a motion of movement into a whole new scene. So, therefore, the logo for Spiral Fest represents how it’s time to spiral back into the world of the 2003 emosphere. Transport back to the world where black t-shirts filled their closets and emo swoop hair covered half their faces. The vibrant colors used are reminiscent of the Manic Panic hair dyes that filled the shelves of HotTopic.
Likewise, illustrations and textures are a throwback to the elements that overtook their Myspace pages and school notebooks.
Finally, the mascots of Spiral Fest reflect the dark humor of the time, where the macabre had an adorable twist.

I fully immersed myself in the music and culture the festival celebrates. Throughout the process, I kept the project’s design requirements in mind, including the need for the branding to be versatile and memorable.
About Spiral Fest VIP Gift Bag
It was essential to making the VIP gift bags feel like merch fresh from an angsty teen’s daily wear. Black clothing, checkerboard patterns, and pops of color result in a recipe that will make the concertgoer feel like they’re walking the halls to 5th-period algebra class.
